Regarding traditions and festivities:

  • In Vitoria-Gasteiz, Great Week of the Pintxo of Álava. June 21st to July 2nd.  
  • In Pamplona, San Fermin with the Running of the Bulls every morning. The famous festival that Hemingway loved. From July, 6th to 14th.
  • In Labastida. Medieval Market. July 8th & 9th.
  • In Isaba, in the Basque Country Pyrenees, 3 Cow Tribute Festival, this millenarian tribute is observed amongst two villages of the French & Spanish Basque Country. The oldest agreement in force in Europe. This act possibly occurs from 125 BC, more than 2,100 years ago! On July, 13th.
  • In Orio, Sea Bream festival "made on the Orio style", in the Gipuzkoa village from July, 13rd to 16th.
  • In Biscay (plenty towns). Festivals of Carmen. Party atmosphere and cellebrations in: Santurtzi, Barakaldo, Balmaseda, Bakio, Bermeo, Neguri, Lemoiz, Plentzia, Larrabasterra Zalla and Mungia. July, 16th.
  • In Bermeo, Mundaka, Elantxobe, Errenteria, Artziniega, Ayala & Bernedo Magdalena Festivals. One of the most popular is in Elantxobe. July, 22nd. 
  • In Vitoria-Gasteiz, Blusa Day.  Donkey run, and parade of boys and girls dressed up with Basque local dressings and bull fighting. July, 25th.
  • In Astigarraga, Cider Day. Try local cider and enjoy local craftsman and Basque traditional sports in this town near San Sebastian. July, 26th.
  • In Baiona, Festivals of Bayonne. Basque French version of the San Fermin Festivals, with bullfighting, running of the bulls and much more. From July, 26th to 30th.
  • In Azpeitia, Biscay & Gipuzkoa. St Ignatius Loiola. In Azpeitia local music, food, drink and festivals, July 30th to August 2nd.

Regarding arts and exhibits:

  • In Bilbao. Paris, end of century: Signac, Redon, Toulouse-Lautrec and his contemporaries. Guggenheim Museum. May 12nd to September 17th.
  • In Bilbao. Bilbako Kalealdia (Bilbao street festival). Street shows, contemporary dance, circus and puppets. From June 26th to July 1st.
  • In Lekeitio, International Street Theater Festival. From July 6th to 13th.
  • In Biarritz, Fireworks on France National Day on July, 14st.
  • Jazz Festivals:
    • In Getxo, International Jazz Festival, from June 28th to July 2nd.
    • In Vitoria-Gasteiz, Jazz Festival from July 11st to 15th.
    • In San Sebastian, Heineken Jazzaldia from July, 20th to 25th.
  • Blues Festivals:
    • In Getxo. Getxo & Blues 2017 - Getxo International Blues Festival. July 13rd to 15th.
    • In Hondarribia. Blue Festival, International and Basque music groups. Also conferences, exhibits... From July 13rd to 16th.
  • In Bilbao. BBK Live Festival. International music groups. Fields of Kobetamendi. From July, 6th to 8th.
  • In Mundaka, Basque Music & Cook Festival. Festival of food & music, with tastings, concerts and live music in local bars. From July 28th to 30th.

Regarding sport:

  • In San Sebastian, International Football Tournament Donosti Cup. 430 football teams from all over the world. From July 2nd to 8th.
  • In Beasain. The mountain race "Ehunmilak". It will cross the Gipuzkoan counties of Goierri, Tolosaldea, Urola Kosta, Urola Garaia and Debagoiena, 168 kilometers. July 7th to 9th.
  • Biarritz Cup. The biggest Amateur Golf Tournament in France. From July 9th to 16th in the Golf Le Phare.
  • In San Sebastian. Classical San Sebastián. Test belonging to the UCI Pro Tour and considered one of the most important appointments of international cycling. July 29th.
  • In Getxo. Circuit of Getxo cycling, Memorial Ricardo Otxoa. June 31st.
