Xabier Lete was a Basque poet of great importance as it fight for the Basque Culture during the times of Franco when it was forbiden things like speaking in Basque. Here we can see some of his poems:

He died last December after a long illness and this Saturday 8th October at 20 hours there will be a tribute in "Palacio Euskalduna" in Bilbao.
Many stars of the Basque culture will be there. Musicians like: Mikel Urdangarin, Antton Valverde, Pier Paul Berzaitz, Jabier Muguruza, Amaia Zubiria, Anje Duhalde, Arantxa Irazusta, Petti, Alex Sardui & Erramun Martikorena, Basque poets like Kirmen Uribe y Hedoi Etxarte and the bertsolaris Unai Iturriaga & Igor Elortza all of them in the scenario with the pianist Karlos Gimenez, el accordionist Joxan Goikoetxea, violinist Francisco Herrero, cellist Luis Fernandez and guitar players Txema Garces & Xanet Arozena.
Good chance to learn deeper about basque culture and to hear poets, musicians and bertsolaris making a tribute to this important figure of the basque music in the 70s and 80s.
