Medieval Markets

During the last years, it has become quite popular the Medieval Markets in this area. I will not speak about how good are these adaptations, but it is a fact indeed that there are some cities and towns where these markets have a special charm because of the architecture around them or the local effort made by the locals to give a more realistic experience. Many have theater or different shows like falconry, archery, minstrels, etc.
And nearly all give you the possibility of having a look to the work of different craftsmen.
It is always a good opportunity to have a look to old cities with a different perspective.
Some of the most interesting ones in the neighbourhoods are those in Artziniega (Alava) in June, Balmaseda (Biscay) in May, Vitoria-Gasteiz (Alava) in the last weekend of September, but there are quite a few of them more. Here it is a list with the biggest ones:
