Regarding traditions and festivities: 

  • In Sopuerta, Biscay, Pork Butcher's Festival (Chacineria), contest to choose the best Basque pork butcher and making contests of best Spanish sausage chorizo and best black pudding. March 5th.  
  • In Javier (Navarre). “Javierada”. Pilgrimage to the Castle of San Javier. Old Navarra Tradition dating back to nineteenth century. During the first two weekends of March, whilst Novena de la Gracia.  
  • In Bakio. St. Joseph Festival. The wineries of Bakio present the txakoli elaborated with the harvest obtained the previous year. March 19th. 
  • In Pamplona. Week of the Pintxo. From March 31st until April 9th.

  • In San Sebastian. Les Luthiers: ¡Chist! Antología. Kursaal Centre. March 2nd. 
  • In Vitoria-Gasteiz. Miniature Pintxo Congress. IV Edition of the Small Haute Cuisine. Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions Europe. On March 3rd until March 12th. 
  • In Tolosa, Gipuzkoa, a Iranian puppets exhibit in The Puppet Museum. Until March 5th. 
  • In Barakaldo (Bilbao). Carlos Vives “La fiesta es de todos”. Bilbao Exhibition Centre. March 31st.  
  • In Bilbao. Hermann y Margrit Rupf Collections. Guggenheim Museum. The collection includes 70 works by key artists from the first half of the 20th century such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris, Fernand Léger, Paul Klee or Vasily Kandinsky. Until April 23th. 
  • In Getaria. Expo: "Coal and Velvet Looks of Ortiz Echagüe and Balenciaga on the popular costume". Balenciaga Museum. Until May 7th.  
  • In Bilbao. 'Renoir: intimacy'. Pierre-Auguste Renoir Expositions. Fines Arts Museum. Until May 15th.
Regarding music: 
  • In Zumarraga. Txalaparta course. Topaleku, Eitza. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. March: 10th & 24th, and April 7th.
Regarding sports: 
  • In Bilbao, Bilbao cyclotourist: International cycling tour of Bilbao. 115km lenght and open to all cyclists. March 19th. 
  • In Biarritz, French Basque Country. French Championship of Basque Pelota. On March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 232th & 30th.
