What to do in the Basque Country? There are many secrets of the Basque Country not known even for many locals.
I have made a selection of some postcards that include some of our best well known monuments and areas mixed with local Christmas traditions. Have a look to them so that you can choose what to do and see during your stay in Bilbao, San Sebastian, Biarritz or Vitoria. This is the selection I have prepared for you:
A. Bilbao I have selected for the biggest Basque city this video which uses Christmas lights to draw best of Bilbao city monuments.
B. Vitoria-Gasteiz Its city hall they have selected the garden with deers and the candle night amongst others and used a Jazz version of a Basque carol song (to remind us about the International Jazz Festival that happens every July). Smart.
C. San Sebastian - Donostia For this city, I have selected a coral Christmas song with paintings of the incredible city of San Sebastian. Hope you like it:
D. Biarritz In the French Basque Country they do have simmilar traditions, like Olentzero that you have seen in Vitoria-Gasteiz video above, but also they have a French touch. I have selected a very elegant video for you. Showing some of their stylish Christmas lights.
