Markets helping to keep the traditions

This Sunday there will be in Kuartango, Alava, a farmers market.

But this local farmers' market is special as they are promoting a local cow that is on threat of extinction. The monchina or terreña cow, original from the East of the Basque Country, Cantabria and North of Burgos.

Some farmers' are fighting to recover this kettle which feeds half free in the mountains and they are going to Kuartango this Sunday to show their best cows and the work they are doing.
It really worths a visit!
