As part of this Rioja town festivals, people of all ages not only drink Rioja wine, as usual, but throw wine one to the other.
One of the festivals related with food production and harvesting as "Tomatina" in Buñol, in Valencia, in the Mediterranean Coast or "Grapes of New Years Eve" in the whole Spain.
Other simmilar festivals throwing wine in Spain can be found on July 25th in San Asensio, also in Rioja, or on September 9th near Llanes in Asturias.
