Mondays in Museums - Salt Valley of Añana

The Salt Valley of Añana is one of the hit points of Alava province.

This is an inland valley open to the Sun that has been producing salt from a spring of salty water since Roman times and using only clay, stone and wood to prepare all the structures: clannel, platforms, columns...

In the visit you can see the way of production of salt and also the places where salt for many famous restaurants is produced. Like for example the 3* Michelin: Arzak, Martin Berasategi, and Akelare from Pedro Subijana, the 2* Michelin: Azurmendi, Mugaritz, etc.

And if the weather is ok you can give an end to the visit by inserting your hands and feet in bath of salty water which is said to be very relaxing.
